When we went to the Fen wit Nana, Papaw, and Aunt Bobbie, we only got to walk about 1/2 way around the path because the boardwalk was covered with water. It was deep enough to get inside our shoes, so we turned back. The kids were not happy about this, so I promised them we would go back in a couple of days with our rain boots on so we could walk through the water. So we did. And of course they thought this was great fun!

After eating cupcakes we opened presents and then went over to the Siebenthaler Fen and took a short hike.

The weekend after Kenton's birthday, Nana, Papaw, and Aunt Bobbie came up to celebrate both the kids' birthdays. We went out to lunch at Skyline and then came back to the house and had cupcakes. Kenton's soccer game was canceled, so we went out and took a short hike and a driving tour of Yellow Springs.

Back on August 19th, we celebrated Kenton's 5th birthday!

Back in August we went over to the Boonshoft Museum. The kids enjoyed the newest exhibit about rockets and space. There is a space rocket that they can climb into and a controls station as well.

These pics were taken as we were getting ready to leave the cabin at Hocking Hills. It was a great place to stay and we all had a great time! I think even Alyssa enjoyed it once she got to stop and shop on the way home! ;-)

While we were in Hocking Hills we played a round of putt-putt. It was the first time Kenton or Emery either one had played. They had a great time for the first 9 or 10 holes and then they got kind of bored.
