Early in December, Xenia had a small Christmas festival. We watched a parade, visited with Santa and Mrs. Clause and went for a ride on a horse drawn wagon. The temps were around 40 that day, so not a bad day to be outside considering it was December in the midwest!

These were the only three pictures I took of decorating the tree. We did it while Keesha was at work and once we started putting things on the tree, I sat the camera down and never picked it back up again!

Back in October we went to the Children's Museum in Indianapolis. Before we even went inside, Kenton was very excited about all the Dinosaurs outside the building!

Emery's class at school dressed up for the holiday and sang some Thanksgiving songs for us!

After a couple of songs Emery ran over to Mrs. Beam and sat with her for the rest of the songs!
When they sang their Christmas songs (just a few weeks after this) Emery stayed up with the other kids the whole time! That was some improvement!

One weekend morning back in November, we had a very special treat for breakfast: gluten free Cinnamon rolls! What a great warm treat on a cold fall morning.

Back in November and December Kenton took another round of Preschool swimming classes. He had a great time and is really starting to enjoy the water.

It took him a few seconds to work up the courage to jump off the diving board!

Here are some pictures from Trick or Treating in our neighborhood.

This might be the best picture of Emery we have ever snapped! She's looking at the camera and smiling.

Here are a couple of pictures from Emery's ice skating lessons back in the fall. She enjoyed it and after the six lessons had gotten to where she could stay standing pretty much the entire 1/2 hour and could even glide a little bit on the ice.

The Boonshoft recently added a new exhibit, this great rocket. The kids had a blast (sorry, I had to!) playing with the rocket and the control panel.

Back in November we spent a couple of hours at the Boonshoft Museum in Dayton. The kids always have a great time there.

Happy New Year! You will all probably be glad to know that one of my goals for this year is to keep the blog updated regularly. I'll keep it vague like that ("regularly") so it's harder to fail. LOL! Here are some pictures from Halloween:

I'm not sure what Emery is doing in this picture. She was really into the pumpkin carving and even enjoyed cleaning out the inside of the pumpkin. Kenton on the other hand said it was gross and kept his distance.

I gave each of the kids a pumpkin to decorate with markers while I carved the "big one". Emery got very artistic with her pumpkin!

In the days leading up to Halloween the kids went to a couple of Halloween parties and a couple of trunk-or-treats. They never tired of putting on their costumes and getting some treats!

Kenton started taking swim lessons a couple of weeks ago. He is really enjoying it and is doing very well in the water. Last week his class got to jump off the diving board. He was the only one in his class that jumped right off without being lowered into the water by an instructor. He is definitely getting more comfortable around the water!

On October 14th, the kid's had open house at their preschool. The theme of the night was "Down on the farm". Emery sang some favorites like "Old McDonald", and Kenton's songs included "Green Acres", the theme song from the TV show. The first two pictures show the kids in front of some of their artwork that was displayed in the hallway.

This is Emery's class performing. She is the second one from the left in the front row.
