In early August we went to Hocking Hills, Ohio with my family and had a great time. The first night we celebrated summer birthdays, which included everyone but Granny. Emery decided to wear two things that her cousin Alyssa handed down to her (the hat and the skirt) to hand out presents.

Cousin Nathanael, Aunt Suzanne, and Uncle Rick watching the tearing into of the presents.

Emery celebrated her third birthday on August 2nd! The birthday girl enjoyed all her presents. She opened the Barbie suitcase the day before her birthday so she could pack in it to head out to Hocking Hills, since we left on the day of her birthday.

Keesha did a great job on the presents! Emery is still playing with the cow decoration.

Making a big wish!

Messy face!

Opening her presents. This was a baby doll high chair. She loves feeding her babies!

Back in July, the library had a painting with water colors program. Both of the kids had a great time being creative!

After over a month of not updating, I am back. Here are some pictures of some ladybugs we made here at home. This is the day after Emery fell onto the garage floor and was "beat up" pretty badly. Everyone at the Children's Emergency Room was surprised that it was not broken!

We had lots of fun in Stanford over the Fourth of July weekend. We spent lots of time playing around outside. Kenton wanted to be a superhero that rode a Big Wheel. Aunt Christy just wanted to be a kid! In the last picture Kenton, Christy and Connor were trying to keep the balloon from hitting the ground.

While in Stanford, we went over to Millennium Park in Danville. It was a nice big park with a lake and lot of playground equipment.

Over the Fourth of July holiday weekend we went to Stanford to visit Keesha's family. The kids found a tree in the back yard that was just the right size for them to climb!

Here are some more pics from our hike at Sara Arnovitz park.

Last week was kind of hectic! Hopefully things will be a little better this week. Here are some pics from a couple of weeks ago from our hike at Sarah Arnovitz park in Xenia. This is a great trail and the kids always love it no matter how many times we go there. Since it is only about 5 minutes from our house we do tend to go there 4 or 5 times each year.

Here are more pics from Possum Creek Metro Park. After visiting the animals, taking a short hike, playing on the playground and having a snack, we decided to take another hike. This one was about 1 1/2 miles long. The kids did very well for such a long hike! The pictures of them on the rock are at the end of the long hike.

Here are some more pics from Possum Creek Metro Park. There are so many things to do at this great park. We did some hiking and even saw this frog in the second picture. Usually we are loud enough that we don't get to see much wildlife, but this little guy was in the middle of the small pond, so I guess he felt protected. After a short hike we played on the playground.

Last week we went over to Possum Creek Metro park in Dayton. They have a farm, playground, and great hiking. Our first stop was at the farm. We saw chickens, pigs, a bunny, a horse, a cow, ducks, goats, and sheep. The kids always like seeing animals up close.

Last week at "home school" we talked about bugs and butterflies and the letter B. For one of our crafts we made these butterflies.
