Last Saturday at Kenton's soccer practice/scrimmage, they took a team photo. If there is any doubt, Kenton is the one in the front row with the blue soccer socks on. Emery will stay put during the hour long practice/scrimmage as long as she has something to eat!

Here are more pics from Bill Yeck Park. We had a great time there. I hope the kids continue to enjoy getting outside all summer. I see lots of hiking in our near future.

Last Friday the kids and I explored another great park. This one is in Centerville and has lots of trails. We only had about an hour, so we didn't get to explore too long, but we still had a great time!

We made another trip to Shawnee Park last week. The kids really like this park and it's less than a mile from our house, so we go there often.

Emery isn't quite as interested in the rockets as her brother. But she really enjoyed pushing her empty stroller around.

Last Sunday we went to the National Air Force Museum in Dayton. It's a great museum for many reasons, not the least of which is because it has no admission fee. We had not been over there since Kenton has been interested in all things dealing with space and the planets. He really enjoyed it. As we got in the car to leave he was already planning our next visit back there.

Last week we took the wagon on some of our walks around the neighborhood. Sometimes they would both ride in it and sometimes they would take turns, just one of them riding at a time.

I love this picture of Emery. Being 2 1/2 there aren't a lot of pictures of her where she is looking at the camera with a natural smile on her face. This picture shows how much she enjoys being outside. Both kids would stay out all day long if we would let them.

Last week we went outside and did some painting.

Early last week the kids enjoyed their first popsicles of the season. It really wasn't nearly as serious of a situation as these pics would have you believe. There was much rejoicing and celebrating that the unofficial snack of summer (at our house anyway) was being enjoyed.

A week ago we started our above ground square-foot garden. We have several things sprouting, but have already had to cover it once because of the freezing temperatures. So far it seems to be doing well. The kids love using their "new" watering cans. Kenton got excited when the first sprouts came up, but Emery wasn't real impressed!

Here are some more pics from Cox Arboretum. It is another great (and beautiful) park in the Dayton Metro Parks system. We all had a great time looking at the different flowers, plants, and trees.
