This past Friday we had "Father's Day" at Kenton's school. All the Pre-K classes sang songs and then had a wonderful lunch. The class had also made some wonderful crafts and gifts for all of us dads.

The other day each of the kids made a counting book. Kenton enjoyed it, but Emery loves her arts & crafts. She loves to cut, glue, stick, color and draw! For our counting books we glued a number on one page and then put that number of stickers on the opposite page.

On MLK Day the kids and Keesha all had the day off from school and the library, so we went to the Newport Aquarium.

Both of the kids enjoyed watching the jellyfish.

Petting the (small) sharks.

As I mentioned before, we've had a lot of opportunities to play out in the snow this year. Although we did not get any snow yesterday (Wednesday) as many of our friends and family in Kentucky did. Here are some more pics of the kids out in the snow.

There's nothing like a sleeping boy and his diplodocus.

With all the snow we've had this winter, we've played out in the snow several times. While I certainly get tired of shoveling the driveway, the kids never tire of playing out in the fluffy white stuff!

The Cincinnati History Museum at the Cincinnati Museum Center had a great seasonal exhibit on trains. There was even a train you could ride and the kids really enjoyed it all!

One of Kenton's favorite permanent displays at the Cincinnati Museum Center is the dinosaur area in the Museum of Natural History. I know, you are all shocked, right! Along with the dinosaur fossils and reconstructions on display, there is also a play area with plastic dinosaurs and a library of dinosaur books. It really is a great space for younger kids.

On New Year's Eve (during the day) we went to the Cincinnati Museum Center (Keesha had to work). We looked at an exhibit on Chinese dinosaurs and dragons. Of course, Kenton really enjoyed this exhibit.

Christmas in Glendale.
We celebrated Christmas with my mom and my sister & her family a couple days after Christmas. After two weeks of celebrating Christmas with different family members this was our last celebration of the season.

Here are some pictures from Christmas morning. Neither of the kids asked for a "big" item from Santa, so they got several gifts. After opening all of them Kenton looked at Emery and said, "Santa must have thought you were better this year than you actually were because you got a lot of toys."
