A couple of weeks ago the kids and I went to Louisville to visit my grandfather and then went on to Glendale to visit Mom. We drove over to Hodgenville and visited Lincoln's birthplace. Unfortunately they were renovating the building that holds the cabin, so we didn't get to see the cabin, but we did walk around the grounds and took a short hike. The above picture was a chance to take a quick rest while we were hiking.

The next day we went to the Louisville Zoo. We had a great time! In the orangutan exhibit the kids got to try on an outfit to see what it would be like to have long orangutan arms. The highlight of the trip for Kenton was seeing the dinosaur exhibit. He has already been begging to go back to the zoo to see the exhibit again and play in the splash park.
